Pole Building Column Repair Services from a Trusted Expert
Greiner Buildings uses Post Saver, a permanent thermoplastic barrier system to seal wooden posts and eliminate column degradation. But some post-frame structures constructed decades ago with inferior materials may have columns that are rotting from the inside out. Columns can work much like a straw, drawing moisture from the ground up through its interior and rotting the wood. This typically happens with untreated lumber. Post decay typically happens around the perimeter of older, untreated posts near the ground level within a few inches of the top of soil where oxygen mixes with moisture in the soil.
